Dan and Lynda hosted their first AAC trial at Muskoka Agility Dogs in 2000. Their property, 10 minutes west of Huntsville, is on 65 acres including waterfront on Clark Lake. There's a large meadow for the fenced ring for trials and lessons, and spacious open fields for exercising dogs. During trials, dogs are allowed off leash ONLY in the specified area and in the fenced warm-up ring.
The events at Muskoka Agility Dogs include fun matches, clinics and trials each year - July, August and September. .
Lynda started competing in agility in 2001 with Shadow, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. She is now competing with Kappa Karma, a tricolour border collie and is having lots of fun starting from the beginning again.
Dan has competed with Spryte who came 6th in Montreal in 2004, the first 6 ring Nationals. He now competes with Rebecca, another toller and Spryte's 12 year old daughter. In Barrie, 2011, she placed 3rd at Nationals. Dan surprised us all by getting a Rosevale tri-colour border collie, born November 30/13, named Kappa Karma. Dan and Lynda share the handling of Kappa. Now a little papillon cross rescue has been added to their household and he'll soon be trialling. His name is Petit Garcon - AKA T'Gar
Lynda started judging AAC trials in 2001, and Dan in 2003. They have now judged regular trials, Regionals and Nationals from BC to Newfoundland. Dan is one of the judges at the 2014 Nationals in Sussex, NB.
Classes with Lynda and Dan for 2016 are filled. Field rental available for practice.
